Wednesday Hodgepodge

A gobbling Hodgepodge.....

1. Turkey-love it or leave it?  White meat or dark?  What's your favorite thing to make using leftover turkey?
I like turkey--white meat.  Leftover turkey-there is usually not anything left.  For the last 4 years, I use to send all leftovers back with #2 daughter-and her basketball team because many didn't get to go home for Thanksgiving and games were always played the Friday and Saturday afterwards.  So, this year with no basketball team to send leftovers to.. I may have to be creative.

2. Gotta burn off all those carbs the day after a holiday feast so which would you rather do-run a 10K or climb a mountain?
How about Zumba-I have been going on Monday evenings.  Since you need to make a choice, climb a mountain-this way you can stop and rest as you climb to the top and hopefully at the top will be a breath taking view.

3.  Do you feel like social networking has made your relationships better or worse?  Explain.

Better--sometimes just reading others blogs-helps me to realized I am not the only one experiencing something or I am not the only one 'crazy' and the words of encouragement mean a lot.  I have met many friends through the blogging world. :)

4. How do you find and express gratitude for the hard things in your life?
During the tough times of my life I always say to myself-God does not put anymore on me than I can handle.  When I look back now on some of life's hard times, I am grateful that God chose me because the hardships I have faced have made me a better person.  Sometimes instead of asking God-"Why me"?  Maybe we should ask him--"Why not me"?

5.  In the US, the day after Thanksgiving has been dubbed 'Black Friday'.  Is most of your holiday shopping done live and in person, or is it done more through the magic of the Internet? How do you feel about stores opening at midnight Thanksgiving night? Will you be out amongst the masses on Friday?

Last year was the first year I went shopping Thanksgiving night.  I enjoyed it--just watching the people made me laugh!  I didn't buy nor did I plan on buying anything, I just wanted to go and see what the 'fuss' was all about.  I plan on going this year---just to watch the people---do I live a boring life?

6.  Speaking of the color black-which black item in your wardrobe would you say is your favorite?
My 'little black dress'.  I think all should own one-just for those special occasions.

7.  What do you appreciate about your life today?
Everything!!!!  I have truly be blessed!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
I will be preparing items for our yearly Thanksgiving delivery at church.  This has been a family tradiotion for  10 years!
