Wednesday Medley

1.  Well, I do love croissants when they are fresh, but day-old croissants need to be turned into a donut.  I happen to really like the croissants that have a donut-like glaze on them!  Sugar overload but so good.  So... do you like croissants?  What is your favorite way to eat them?

My favorite way of eating croissants with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
2.  Speaking of food... How do you handle stress?

My husband, Charlie, just recently passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.  I am a stress eater. There were days I would be eating and never realized I was eating. I didn't care what I was eating as long as I was eating.
3.  Out of the negative emotions of greed, anger, jealousy, and hate, which one would you say affects you the most?

Right now, it is HATE...not at a person...but I HATE CANCER!!  It robbed my hub and I of so much joy.
4.  Out of the positive emotions of compassion, positivity, enthusiasm, and initiative, which one is your biggest strength?

Positivity has been my biggest strength.  Even through hub's cancer diagnosis and illness, I remained positive...thinking all would turn out okay.  I try to look on the bright side.
5.  What do you get every time you go grocery shopping, other than the staples such as bread, milk, butter, flour, sugar...

I have been keeping youngest daughter's little boy...who turned ONE a few weeks ago.  I have been trying to find different foods he may like; but having very little luck.  He will usually take a couple of bites but by the third bite he is gagging!  Of course he always needs some ...

Gerber Lil' Crunchies Baked Whole Grain Corn Snack, Mild Cheddar - 1.48oz
6.  Please tell us something random about your week so far.
I hate to say, but a nasty respiratory thing has been going around...and today I feel like crapola!!  Yeah, this stuff is pretty nasty.

Only hoping it doesn't last long.

Have a great rest of the week...AND  Enjoy Life!

I guess as long as it is Cheesecake, I like pie!

2.  While we are talking about food... are you a picky eater or are you ready to try almost any new food?  What is the worst thing you have ever eaten?
Personally, I don't think I am a picky eater, and I will try new foods.  The worst food I have eaten is bear...didn't like it at all.
3.  Baking could be considered an art as could cooking.  How do you define art?
Art is arranging or creating things in a way that appeals to one emotions.

4.  Tell us a really stupid joke that made you laugh, please.
I haven't heard a joke in a long time.  But I looked one up....
How does a train eat?
It goes Chew, Chew!
5.  January 23rd is also National Handwriting Day. Do you have nice handwriting? Did cursive writing come naturally or did you practice in those double-lined practice books until your fingers hurt?

Being a retired teacher, I am amazed as why cursive writing is no longer taught in school.  I help my grandson (my late hub's grandson) but I call him mine...with his homework in the afternoons and his handwriting is terrible.  I remember practicing for hours my signature...getting the letters right and perfect. I have a hard time writing in cursive now because I think I have the early stage of arthritis in my fingers so my handwriting has a lot to be desired for.
6.  Tell us something random about your week.
The week started off cold...single digits and the wind chill below zero.  Now, it is warm and raining...my yard is so muddy with the rain we have had this winter.
This little fellow, who has stolen my heart, turned one on January 15th and had Three shots at his doctor appointment on Monday.
