1. My real life friends came through with another question this week so thank you real life friends. When you've eaten in a restaurant do you complete their comment card? Do you take online surveys highlighted at the bottom of store receipts?

No, I never do either one of these.

2. The (US) ban on women in combat was lifted at the end of January. It will probably be next year before specifics are worked out, but its been reported over 200,000 front line positions will eventually open up to women. Your thoughts?

Personally I am don't think women should be on the combat front-HOWEVER--my daughter has a close friend who is in the military.  Her friend is a tiny, little thing and she is sooo willing to be on the combat lines.  I admire this young girl and her parents as well.


3. In looking back at all the blog posts you've written, what's your favorite post title?

Don't really have one.  I enjoy my Christmas blog posts the best.

4. What's worse-overly permissive parents or overly protective parents? Did your own parents lean more to the permissive or the protective category? If you're a parent where do you fall?
I am going to answer BOTH!
Overly permissive parents allow children/teenagers to be adults way before they should be. 
Overly protective parents do not allow children/teenagers to grow-up.
Parenting is the hardest job ever!  A job that makes one learn where to draw the line, letting go of the little battles, and always saying a prayer to God for your child's safety.
My parents were neither -overly permissive or overly protective.  I knew the boundaries and the consequences I would face, if I crossed the boundaries.  I also knew my parents would not always come to my rescue, and I had to face the consequences when I made the wrong choices.
I believe we need a Parenting Class to be taught in High School.  Your thoughts?

5. Candlelight-moonlight-firelight-bright lights in the big city...which one's your favorite?

Firelight for me-reason being it brings a calmness over me.






6. Dr. Seuss's birthday was celebrated on Saturday. What's a favorite book you remember (Seuss or otherwise) from your own childhood? Did books play an important role in your growing up years? Explain.

I can't remember having many books read to me when I was growing up. I do remember in high school loving to read.  As a parent, books have been a part of my daughters and now my grandson's life.  I loved reading to my girls and now reading to grandson.
