Wednesday hodgepodge

1. March is National Women's History Month. In that vein, who are three women who've been influential in your life? How so?

My paternal grandmother-she just taught me to believe in myself, and that life is not always fair. My grandmother taught me to work hard and be persistent.  She had the strongest faith and was one fine Christian woman.
My daughters -they influence me daily. I have seen the obstacles they face, and they strive to overcome.  They are compassionate and hardworking women.  Often they tell me to just 'chill' when my feathers are so ruffled.
Maya Angelou-I just admire her quotes..and try to memorize them.

2. In what ways do you think women have it easier than men?

I can't think of any ways. I know this is out of the ballpark sort of speak, but the only thing I can think of is..finding something good to watch on television!!  Hub always has an easier way with this than me.

3. What do you need most right now: faith, love, hope, or peace?

Faith- I am nervous about daughter's upcoming back surgery..AGAIN!  I know this is another curve ball being thrown.
Hope-Hope that the world we live in would some how wake up and be more better.
Peace-For family situation to work out, and we could all be at peace again.
I could use a little bit of all.

4. Do you have a collection? If so, what do you collect and why?

No collection here.

5. Plaids, checks, polka dots, stripes...your favorite?

Plaids

6. In what ways are you the same as your childhood self?

I like being active...not much of a couch potato, still love to read, and still have a yearning to help others who need it.

7. You're a contestant on the TV game show Jeopardy. What category will you ace?

Song Lyrics...finish the lyrics to this song.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

"If you only have one smile in you give it to the people you love." Maya Angelou
Prayers for daughter...she will be having her second back surgery at 7:30 Friday morning.
Have a Blessed rest of the week.

  2. I will be praying for your daughter. Is this a new procedure or is she having something redone? I'm sure she's in good hands, but know she's in my prayers.
