1. Does anybody really know what day it is? Last week we skipped the Hodgepodge and I just assumed this week would find us in December, but nope. Still November. Do you wear a watch? Use a paper calendar or strictly electronic? What's your favorite hour of the day? Why?
Yes, I wear a watch. I have a (IDK what you call it that keeps track of my steps)!! If I don't have a watch on, I feel naked!! I use both a paper calendar and an electronic calendar. I like when my watch dings that reminds me of an event. Call me ole school but I still write stuff down on my paper calendar.
2. Tell us something about how you celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday.
Keith, my son-in-law, and I spent Thanksgiving morning delivering 98 meals to families. This is something I have been doing for at least 20 years. My church sends out a list of food items that people sign up to bring (turkey, slaw, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and pies). People have to have all the food at the church by 8am, another group of people are there at 9am packing the boxes, and another group there by 10am to begin delivering the food.3. What's a sound you hate to hear?
I hate to hear the sound of ambulance or fire trucks. My heart just stops and I try to whisper a prayer for safety for all involved.
4. Where do you not mind waiting?
I do not mind waiting in line at a movie theatre.
5. I really wish____________________________________. I really wish people would be kinder! No one really knows what another person is going through. The holiday seasons can be so difficult and what does it hurt a person to just be kind? Heck, we should be kind all the time. Words hurt, but a smile makes someone's day.

Decorating has begun at my house! Thanks to my grandsons!
Have a great rest of the week and Enjoy Life!!
How wonderful to be able to deliver so many meals. I'm sure that blesses you as much as the recipient. I bet it will be fun having littles in the house this time of year. Ours are already so excited. Nap when you can lol.
ReplyDeleteI so admire your devotion to delivering meals to those in need. What a wonderful ministry. I no longer decorate for Christmas since we spend the final two weeks of Dec. with our son and his family, but I can remember when decorating with and for grandchildren was the delight of the season. You have some mighty cute helpers.
ReplyDeleteNice that your grandsons helped; we got the tree up but haven't decorated yet and I just need to make the time!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of the helpers!
ReplyDeleteI love that you deliver meals on Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteYour church's outreach ministry is wonderful! I can't even wrap my mind around those who, through no fault of their own, go to bed hungry.
ReplyDeleteYour grandsons are precious!
i don't like the sound of sirens either.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful ministry your church does for Thanksgiving - what a blessing you and your son-in-law were a part of!
